1. The author's voice comes first
Editing is not rewriting. We refine grammar, structure, and rhythm while preserving the personality that makes your manuscript yours. Every suggestion is a conversation, never a decree.
We founded Trust Pro Pages on a single conviction: the distance between a raw manuscript and a finished book should be navigated with care, transparency, and deep respect for the author's voice. Here is what we stand for — and how we work.
Editing is not rewriting. We refine grammar, structure, and rhythm while preserving the personality that makes your manuscript yours. Every suggestion is a conversation, never a decree.
A cover should intrigue the right reader. Interior layout should disappear into the reading experience. We design for emotional resonance, not decoration.
Before a single word is edited, you receive a detailed scope document with fixed pricing. We do not bill hourly, we do not add hidden fees, and we never upsell services you do not need.
Rush jobs produce mediocre books. We build realistic timelines and hold them. If a stage needs more attention, we tell you early and adjust together.
We never take a percentage of royalties. We never claim co-ownership. The intellectual property stays with you from first draft to final sale.
You will never be bounced between departments. A single project lead coordinates your editor, designer, and formatter — and that person answers your emails directly.
We do not follow a rigid assembly line. Instead, each manuscript follows a pathway shaped by its genre, length, and the author's goals. Here is the general rhythm:
Most book projects move from evaluation to finished files in ten to sixteen weeks, depending on length and complexity. Children's picture books and poetry collections often move faster; multi-volume series take longer.
Every project is scoped individually, but the table below gives you a realistic starting point. All prices are in AUD and include one round of revisions unless noted.
| Service | Scope | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| Manuscript evaluation | Full-length manuscript up to 100k words | $350 – $600 |
| Developmental editing | Chapter-level structural feedback | $1,800 – $4,200 |
| Line and copy editing | Per 1,000 words, two revision rounds | $12 – $18 per 1k words |
| Proofreading | Final proof pass after formatting | $6 – $9 per 1k words |
| Cover design | Front cover, spine, back — print and digital | $900 – $2,400 |
| Interior formatting | Print-ready PDF + ePub + KDP file | $700 – $1,500 |
| Publishing support | ISBN, metadata, distributor setup, launch plan | $500 – $1,100 |
| Full-service package | Evaluation through to published book | Custom quote |
Not every draft needs every service. Some authors come to us with a polished manuscript that only needs formatting and cover design. Others arrive with a rough first draft that benefits from developmental guidance before editing begins.
If you are unsure where your manuscript sits, our complimentary evaluation will give you an honest answer — no obligation, no sales pitch.
Request a free evaluation →Honesty means saying no when it matters. We decline projects that ask us to ghost-write and present the work as the client's original creation without disclosure. We do not guarantee bestseller status, chart placement, or specific sales figures — anyone who does is misleading you. We do not offer vanity publishing packages that charge authors thousands of dollars for services worth a fraction of the price. And we will tell you plainly if we believe your manuscript is not yet ready for professional editing, rather than take your money prematurely.
Most projects complete in ten to sixteen weeks from manuscript evaluation to delivery of final files. Shorter works like novellas or poetry collections can finish in six to eight weeks. Complex non-fiction with heavy research, indexing, or illustration coordination may extend to twenty weeks. We set a realistic timeline at the start and communicate proactively if anything shifts.
Both. Roughly sixty percent of our clients are independent authors publishing through Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or similar platforms. The remaining forty percent are small presses and hybrid publishers who outsource editorial and design. Our deliverables are formatted for whichever distribution path you choose.
Absolutely. There is no requirement to purchase a full-service package. Many authors come to us solely for cover design, or solely for proofreading after they have self-edited. Each service is priced independently.
Our editors and designers have deep experience across literary fiction, commercial fiction, memoir, narrative non-fiction, business books, self-help, children's middle-grade, and young adult. We do not currently take on academic textbooks, medical references, or highly technical scientific manuscripts.
Every service includes at least one revision round. If after revisions you remain unsatisfied, we offer a structured resolution process: a senior editor or designer reviews the work independently and proposes adjustments. In the rare case that resolution is not possible, we provide a partial refund proportional to the undelivered value.
Tell us about your manuscript and we will respond within two business days with a tailored scope and quote.

Trust Pro Pages was chosen deliberately. Trust because the relationship between author and editor is intimate — you are handing over something personal. Pro because amateur-hour publishing helps no one. Pages because, at the end of the day, that is what we make: pages worth reading, pages worth keeping, pages that carry your ideas into the world with the dignity they deserve.

By engaging Trust Pro Pages for book services, you agree to these terms. All projects are governed by a written scope document that specifies deliverables, timelines, pricing, and revision allowances. Payment terms are outlined in the scope document and typically require a 40% deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon delivery of final files.
Intellectual property in the manuscript and all original content remains with the author at all times. Trust Pro Pages retains no rights to your work. We may request permission to reference the project title in our portfolio; such permission is optional and revocable.
Cancellation by the client after work has commenced will incur a fee proportional to work completed. We reserve the right to decline projects that conflict with our editorial principles or fall outside our areas of expertise.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory. Any disputes will be resolved through mediation before litigation is pursued.
